What you need to join.
- A valid veterinary license (a US state board, RCVS, WBVC, KSVC, MVC, MOCCAE, AVBC, NZVA, VSCS, or equivalent).
- A phone or computer with internet. No webcam needed.
- When you take a case, you answer it the same day. Owners are promised an answer within 24 hours.
- A commitment to pet welfare and ethical practice.

Do I need malpractice insurance?
We recommend it. Several Dr. Aiva vets use their insured clinic coverage, others hold personal coverage. Either works.
Can I refer to my own clinic?
Yes. If a pet needs in-person care and you have a clinic, say so in your advice.
What happens in emergencies?
Tell the owner to go to their nearest 24x7 facility now. Dr. Aiva is for triage and vet checks, not live emergencies.
